Some of the book world’s biggest names will appear at The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival 2014, when the Regency town once again hosts hundreds of events during the famous 10-day literary celebration.

Started by friends in 1949, the world’s first literature festival sees tens of thousands of literary lovers flock to Gloucestershire annually, with this year’s event taking place from Friday 3 to Sunday 12 October 2014.

Expect to find literary legends, politicians and designers alongside guest directors, comedians and stars of the stage and screen at the 2014 festival, with last year’s highlights including guest speakers John Bishop, Jennifer Saunders, Mary Berry, Ian Rankin, Michael Morpurgo, Julia Donaldson and many more.
