CABOT CIRCUS

Cabot Circus has a variety of offices, shops, a cinema, restaurants and cafes.

In November 2007, a public vote determined the new name of the once called ’Merchants Quarter’ after coming under scrutiny for its associations with slave trade, and was renamed Cabot Circus. The name also commemorates an Italian explorer closely linked with Bristol called John Cabot.

Cabot Circus then re-opened in 2008 after undergoing a ten year plan and building project of a total cost of £500 million.

Its wide range of retail outlets and leisure facilities provides a fun day out or a nice relaxing enjoyable evening.
